The Frame Garden is known for showing breakthrough artists in a low key atmosphere. Patrons can see fine art and prints displayed alongside the working environment of the custom frame shop.

Work featured includes a range of works: boldly colored and whimsical works by contemporary artists, traditional landscape and wildlife paintings, photography, and vintage prints and memorabilia.

The Frame Garden is a member of the Livingston Gallery Association and actively promotes art in the region. The Gallery is a favorite stop during Livingston’s renowned Art Walks.

Artsists who have shown at The Frame Garden include:

  • David Swanson: paintings
  • Jim Barrett: pastel, charcoal and ink paintings and drawings
  • Arin Waddell: paintings
  • Steve Fox: paintings
  • Robert Porte: paintings
  • Mike D. Stone: paintings
  • P. J. Smith: paintings
  • Doris Davis Gallagher: mixed media
  • Jack Hines: Western art

  • Juliann Jones: paintings, sculpture
  • Gary Kerby: paintings
  • Robert Osborn: photography
  • Storrs Bishop: photography
  • Lynn Weaver: photography

We often premier artists, such as this summer’s first solo exhibit of P. J. Smith’s oil paintings, and last year’s Livingston 365 exhibit, a daily photo essay of Livingston by Lynn Weaver. During the first Art Walk of the 2006 and 2007 seasons, photographer Storr’s Bishop created a show in real-time at The Frame Garden Gallery. The audience (the art walkers) become the subject of a show that went up on the walls as the portraits were made and printed. Bishop said, “thanks to Laura Bray for her faith in this crazy idea,” and art walkers lined up to participate.
